To install a new ink refill on our pens, you simply need to twist off the tip to separate it from the body.

Because the tip and body are machined together it can sometimes be difficult to see the seam (by design). If you're having a hard time getting a grip try wrapping rubber bands around the tip and body.

Once the tip is removed you can easily install a new ink refill and reassemble, ensuring the spring is properly back in place.

Will Hodges founded Tactile Turn in 2012 with a mission to create high-quality, thoughtfully designed pens that people could use and appreciate every day. Frustrated by the disconnect between consumers and the products they buy, as well as the inaccessibility of small-scale manufacturing, Will began crafting pens by hand using a WWII-era lathe in a small rented corner of a friend’s workshop. Today, Tactile Turn operates from a 9,000-square-foot facility in Dallas, TX, where a dedicated team of machinists continues to hand-machine each pen. The company remains committed to producing durable, beautifully designed writing instruments backed by a lifetime warranty. Tactile Turn pens are for those who value craftsmanship, attention to detail, and tools that stand the test of time—just like Will himself.

We ship using USPS and UPS, depending on the destination and the products ordered. All shipments include tracking and up to $200 of insurance.

Complimentary Shipping (Domestic Only):

• USPS Ground Advantage: Complimentary on orders over $100.00.
• USPS Priority Mail: Complimentary on orders over $200.00.

Shipping Times:

• Most items ship within two business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).
• Orders placed by 12 PM Pacific Time often ship the same day.
• We aim to ship on Saturdays whenever possible, but this service is not guaranteed.

Additional Notes: 

• Posters and artwork may ship separately from other items but will be dispatched simultaneously.
• Photographs will ship within two weeks.
• While we offer insurance on your shipments, once a package is marked “delivered,” insurance no longer covers theft or loss.
• Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

International Orders:

• For international orders, customs duties, taxes, and fees may apply. These are determined by your country and are the responsibility of the recipient.
• We do not ship knives internationally.
• International orders that include lighters must be shipped UPS. (There will be no other options at checkout). 
• If you ship via USPS, please expect lengthy delivery times and limited tracking availability.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt of your order, provided the merchandise is in its new, unused condition and includes the original packaging. Unfortunately, returns received after the 30-day period will not be accepted.*

Exceptions:

• Lighters: We cannot accept returns for lighters that have been filled with fluid.
• Brass/Copper Products: Items that have had their vacuum seal opened or have been handled and exposed to oxidation are considered used and are not eligible for return.

If the return is due to our shipping error or a defective product, we will refund the non-expedited shipping costs of the return. Otherwise, return shipping costs are non-refundable.
