In the 1920s and 30s a new style of music rapidly gained popularity in the United States and artists like Bessie Smith, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday became household names.
Designed by Michael Mateyko and inspired by the golden age of jazz, each card in the Tempo deck features an art deco style illustration that celebrates the spirit of improvisation and musical expression.
Printed by the united states playing card company on our proprietary thin-stock, each deck of tempo playing cards come packaged in a screen-printed, embossed and foil stamped tuck case.
With a focus on design and quality, Art of Play offers a curated collection of unique playing cards, games, puzzles, toys, and home amusements from around the world. Each item in their collection embraces a spirit of wonder, meant to inspire joy and foster a community of playful sophistication.
We ship using USPS and UPS, depending on the destination and the products ordered. All shipments include tracking and up to $200 of insurance.
Complimentary Shipping (Domestic Only):
- USPS Ground Advantage: Complimentary on orders over $100.00.
- USPS Priority Mail: Complimentary on orders over $200.00.
Shipping Times:
- Most items ship within two business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).
- Orders placed by 12 PM Pacific Time often ship the same day.
- We aim to ship on Saturdays whenever possible, but this service is not guaranteed.
Additional Notes:
- Posters and artwork may ship separately from other items but will be dispatched simultaneously.
- Photographs will ship within two weeks.
- While we offer insurance on your shipments, once a package is marked “delivered,” insurance no longer covers theft or loss.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable.
International Orders:
- For international orders, customs duties, taxes, and fees may apply. These are determined by your country and are the responsibility of the recipient.
- We do not ship knives internationally.
- International orders that include lighters must be shipped UPS. (There will be no other options at checkout).
- If you ship via USPS, please expect lengthy delivery times and limited tracking availability.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt of your order, provided the merchandise is in its new, unused condition and includes the original packaging. Unfortunately, returns received after the 30-day period will not be accepted.*
Exceptions:
- Lighters: We cannot accept returns for lighters that have been filled with fluid.
- Brass/Copper Products: Items that have had their vacuum seal opened or have been handled and exposed to oxidation are considered used and are not eligible for return.
If the return is due to our shipping error or a defective product, we will refund the non-expedited shipping costs of the return. Otherwise, return shipping costs are non-refundable.
